11-29-11
So, today, I was headed to Pirates, Captives, and Slavery class, which takes place in the classroom where I took Comp 101, which is on the first floor of Brock. (I think I'm sitting near or in the same place I did in that class, but that's a different story and/or mental disorder of mine.)
As I was rounding the corner, one of my friends spotted me. I don't see him a lot, but we were out as student missionaries at the same time (we were even in the same country, just on different islands) and so we have a friendship of sorts. He gave me this look and waved me around the people I was trying to get around, and kept waving me down the hallway until we were beside the box where my infographic is being displayed.
He pointed at it and looked at me. "Props," he said, and then we had a short discussion about the various television shows that are featured on it. And then I discovered that we mutually like Stargate SG-1 (he owns all ten seasons, which I only aspire to do [I have four]). Then we were off to class and what not.
I got warm fuzzies from what he said, since Pubtools has been the class that has challenged me the most this semester, considering that I've never done anything like it ever before. Also, the fact that he knows me well enough to know when the thing being displayed is mine (I mean, it has my name, but there's always the distinct possibility of people not knowing my last name) is a nice reminder to me that I do have friends and God works out all things in His own time. Doesn't mean I still wish things and wonder things and want things, but it was a good reminder, all the same. Time for bed.
More later.
That's nice. I'm glad. :-)
