Starbucks

12-5-10

After vespers, I went with some friends to Starbucks. I went for the company; most went for the coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker, but one of my friends bought me a vanilla bean frappuccino; it doesn't have caffeine (I try to avoid drinking it because I get headaches the  next day if I drink too much). It was all right. Tasted a bit like thinned ice cream, but it was decently yummy.

Anyway, I preferred the conversations I had to the drink. There we were, standing outside in a little circle, freezing because it's December and it's night time and it's crowded inside, and I got to know some of my newer friends a little better. Eric had pulled out his phone/whatever and said, "This is my favorite game: Minesweeper." I asked, "Can you play it for days?" He blinked (probably a little surprised) and said, "Nice reference." Then we had a nice conversation in which I discovered that he likes to write sci-fi. Maybe the cold makes me think (flirt?) more quickly.
