I'm waiting for my dad to finish his CT scan and come to recover from the surgery he just got out of. It's about 3:45 PM, and I've been here since noon. I'm the person waiting because my mom had surgery last week and isn't quite up to sitting all day in a waiting room. Happily, there's wi-fi, which means I can get caught up as much as I can. I've sent e-mails, Facebook messages, updated my status, sent private messages, made forum posts, am cleaning out my inbox, and now I'm writing a blog post. I've gotten to watch the Weather Channel, CNN, and would have watched some Food Network if the television didn't make it all fuzzy. I'm hungry.
Did some nice people observing, though. The sweet almost-80 volunteer who chattered for three hours, the doctor whose energy--or adrenaline--was apparent even though he was sitting down (just reading body language, that man wanted to bounce up and down), and the nurses who keep the place running. Things to put away in my mind for when I need or want characters.
Worked more on my third draft of Tacy and Nat. Typing it makes it look so much different than handwriting it.
More later.
